What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxDawsonCollege, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxDawsonCollege event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

Our Theme: Connecting the Dots

Connecting People. Connecting Ideas. Connecting Communities. Connecting the Dots.

We live in a world where connecting and connections are the driving force of our economies, technologies, and communications. TEDxDawsonCollege is proud to present Connecting the Dots; where speakers will highlight how and why we continue to connect to each other through ideas, evolving communication, and technology.

This event took place in the Dawson Theatre on Saturday, May 25th, 2013.
